role of Commerce city government is to manage the overall affairs of the
city, both internally, and as they relate to adjacent communities, the
county and the state. Those governing - the Mayor and City Council
- are charged with oversight
of the city's operation and maintenance and to ensure that its growth
and development is both orderly and economic.
