SHELTER TECHNICIAN/ANIMAL CONTROL WARDEN I

Salary: $8.88 hour
Job Summary: Performs a variety of animal handling and maintenance servuces for the City of Commerce Animal Shelter, feeds and cares for animals at shelter; is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the shelter facility; equipment and grounds; participates in clerical and other manual tasks associated with operating the animal shelter, pet licensing program, adoption program and performs related duties as required. WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK WEEKENDS.
Position Requirements: Graduation from high school or GED equivalent

PATROLMAN

Salary: $12.50 hour
Job Summary: Performs police patrol, investigation, traffic regulation and related law enforcement activities
Position Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of employment. Must possess or be able to obtain by date of hire a valid Texas driver's license without record of suspenson or revocation in any state. Felony convictions and disqualifying criminal histories within the past 7 years are not allowed. Must be able to read and write the English language. Must be of good moral character and of temperate and industrious habits and must have the ability to meet the department's physical standards. Must be TCLOSE certified or be able to obtain by date of hire.

LABORER I - SERVICE CENTER
Open Date: June 18, 2009
Salary: $8.88 per hour
Job Summary: Performs a variety of unskilled or semi-skilled maintenance work and operates a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance and replacement of city water, sewer, street and storm drainage facilities and systems.
