PUBLIC UTILITIES

The Public Utility Department is charged with the operation and maintenance of the Water Treatment Plant and the Wastewater Treatment Plant. This department is also responsible for the Lake Tawakoni Water Intake Structure, the 26 miles of water lines to the City Water Treatment Plant, the maintenance and operation of 6 wells and the City Wastewater Lift Stations. 

The department has several different locations and is responsible for providing a safe and dependable water supply and protecting the environment and has a total of 12 employees.
