Youth Sports Programs

 

Commerce PARD coordinates youth sports activities for boys and girls ages 4 - 18 in basketball, baseball, softball, t-ball and soccer.   

Youth sports coaches are volunteers.  All coaches and assistant coaches must sign a release for a background check. 

         Individuals interested in coaching youth sports should contact the Parks Office at (903) 886-1150.

Youth Sport Activities

Basketball - Divisions: Boys 3rd and 4th grades, 5th and 6th grades, Girls 3rd and 4th grades, 5th and 6th grades. Registration begins November 1 and games will start in January.

Baseball - Dixie Baseball for boys: Divisions: 7 - 8, 9 - 10, 11 - 12, 13 - 14, 15 - 16, 17 - 18. Registration begins February 1. The season runs April through June with tournaments to follow.

 

Softball - Dixie Softball for girls: Divisions; 7 - 8, 9 - 10, 11 - 12, 13 - 15, 16 - 18. Registration begins February 1. The season runs April through June with tournaments to follow.

 

Developmental T-Ball (Coed) - Registration begins February 1. This is for 4 and 5-year-olds who have never played T-Ball before.

 

Transitional T-Ball (Coed) - Registration begins February 1. This is for 5 and 6 year-olds who have played one year of T-Ball. 

 

Swimming - Commerce Gators Swim Team: Ages 6 through 18. May through July. Registration is usually the first week in May.

 

Soccer - Coed; Divisions: Under 6, Under 8, Under 12, and Under 14. Registration begins August 1  and the season runs September through October.

 

Costs - Basketball and Soccer - $25.00 for children living inside the Commerce City Limits and $35.00 for children outside the city limits.

Baseball, Softball, and T-Ball is $30.00 for children living inside the Commerce City Limits and $40.00 for those living outside of city limits.

 

* Late registration will have a $5.00 fee added.
